A lot of events took place recently within our Android world, from ParanoidAndroid updating v3 to the introduction of 4.2.2 builds for the Nexus series and depend on us, the scene has never been a lot more exciting. To add a little a lot more flavor above this, team KANG updated the AOKP 4.2 MR1 ROM to build 3, bringing in some substantial enhancements and bug fixes. besides that, it adds some new devices to its list:
a510 – Acer Iconia A510
i9100 – international Galaxy S2 (Exynos)
i9100g – international Galaxy S2 (OMAP)
hercules – T-Mobile Galaxy S2
tOlte – LTE Galaxy note 2.
Lets have a look at what new functionality and features have come up with this release.
Changes In general user Interface
UI mode selector – Phone / Phablet / Tablet: This will help you to change your device’s UI completely according to the need
Transparency Settings: lets you set transparency level for everything including Homescreen, Lockscreen, app drawer and Apps
Dual Pane: enables dual Pane mode on settings at any set DPI
Car Home: Ease-To-Use Android utility while driving, back on Jelly Bean
Changes In Lockscreen
Timeout/Instant lock in Slide lock: set timeout or quickly lock on Slide lockscreen
Quick Unlock: Lock quickly in PIN/Password lock without pressing Enter
Changes In Navigation Bar
Hide Navigation Bar: hide NavBar and bring ON again by just sliding from bottom
Recent Apps: directly access Gingerbread styled recent Apps
Icon Tint: apply tint to the NavBar icons
Menu UI overflow: Overflow settings on NavBar menu button
Changes In StatusBar
LastApp: Toggle the last app directly by means of StatusBar

Before we proceed, we need you to be directed towards a few things and strictly make note of them.

Do not confuse the instructions and cross over the files while performing these actions.
We are not in any way to be held responsible if you damage your device anyhow following this guide.
Read and understand the guidelines very carefully before performing any actions.
Notes
The set of instructions below are universal for all the 4 devices but make sure not to cross over the ROM files, be very confident about using the ideal file for your respective device.
To boot T-Mobile Galaxy S2 into recovery mode, power off the device. press the Volume Up + Volume Down + Power buttons concurrently until you see the recovery screen.
To boot international Galaxy S2 (Exynos & OMAP) into recovery mode, power off the device. press the volume Up + home + Power buttons concurrently until you see the recovery screen.
To boot LTE Galaxy note 2 into recovery mode, power off the device. Press the Volume Up + Home + Power buttons concurrently until you see the recovery screen.
Prerequisites
USB data cord compatible with your device
USB motorists Installed appropriately [LINK]
Custom recovery like CWM or TWRP Installed
Backup the Device’s Storage, text Messages, Contacts, Calenders and Organizers.
Battery level above 60% to stop any sudden shut downs
Installation Instructions
Using CWM Recovery
Download the ROM flash-able zip package for your device (Click on the download links below)
Download most current GApps zip package [LINK]
Connect the device to PC in USB storage mode by means of data cable.
Transfer the downloaded files in step #1 & #2 to your device’s storage root (not in any folder, for your ease).
Disconnect the device
Boot into recovery mode, refer to the method pointed out in Notes.
While in CWM Recovery:
Tap “wipe data/factory reset” and select “Yes”.
Tap on “wipe cache partition” and select “Yes”.
Go to “mounts and storage” > “format /system” & “format /boot”.
Go to “advanced” > tap “wipe dalvik cache”.
“Install zip from sdcard“> “choose zip from sdcard”. select the ROM zip package placed on the root of your storage and select “Yes” when prompted to initialize the flashing process.
When the ROM has flashed successfully, flash the GApps package over the ROM in the same way as you flashed the ROM.
Select “Reboot System Now”.
Using TWRP Recovery
Download the ROM flash-able zip package for your device (Click on the download links below)
Download most current GApps zip package [LINK]
Connect the device to PC in USB storage mode by means of data cable.
Transfer the downloaded files in step #1 & #2 to your device’s storage root (not in any folder, for your ease).
Disconnect the device
Boot into recovery mode, refer to the method pointed out in Notes.
While in TWRP Recovery:
Wipe > Cache
Wipe > Dalvik Cache
Wipe > factory Reset
Wipe > System
Install > select the ROM flash-able zip package that was earlier placed on the root of your storagenull
